THE EXPLORATION CONTINUES
Always another
wave to make.
WAVE FX 2.0.1 / STUDIO BETA / WINDOWS VST3A smoother graph. A more responsive studio.
This maintenance update repairs the expensive graph rendering that could make 2.0.0 slow to navigate, especially on Windows displays with high scaling. It retains the 2.0 features, sessions, automation, activation and saved Visions.
Close Ableton before installing the new Studio build. Reopen the same Wave FX 2.0 plug-in. Wave FX 1.0 Classic remains available separately.
Download the updated Studio betaWAVE FX 2.0 / STUDIO BETA / WINDOWS VST3A clearer way to shape, compare and learn.
Peppers.Ghöst Wave FX 2.0 installs alongside 1.0 Classic. Your existing Ableton Sets keep their original plug-in; new projects can explore the refined mathematical audio studio.
- Edit the equation directly below the graph. Explain number follows the caret and includes curated lessons for all 24 factory equations, with real formula previews before Apply.
- Compare two applied projects with A/B, then save your favorite as a named Vision. Import Classic Visions into a separate 2.0 library without changing the originals.
- Four assignable, automatable macros and four LFO routes shape active sound banks and orbit points. Original and Graph keep their independent volume controls.
- Optional Graph RMS level matching, pre-mono stereo correlation and a mono compatibility check make comparisons more deliberate.
- Click a numbered orbit marker to open its controls. New shading, point trails, Forest, Neon Studio and Light Teal styling join a movable, resizable companion guide.
Choose your Wave FX beta edition
Both editions require the Wave FX invitation and a verified account. Both use VST3 format. The 71-page 2.0 handbook is available to eligible purchasers in Your library; the beta ZIP includes quick-start instructions.
Mono/stereo I/O and binaural headphone processing. Pitch latency is approximately 86.7 ms at 48 kHz. Discrete surround-speaker output, a separate source instrument and physical orbit simulation are outside this release. This is an unsigned beta; test on copies of important work.
WAVE FX / 0.11.0 PREVIEWYour original. Your graph. Your mix.
Enable Parallel mixer at the bottom of Wave FX to blend untouched, time-aligned Original audio with the processed Graph path. Start with both levels at 0.50 and adjust from there. Existing projects retain their Legacy routing until you enable it.
- Independent Original and Graph levels, comparison modes, master trim and an optional soft ceiling.
- Up to four sound points processing one incoming track, with eight artistic orbit patterns, beat sync, hold/resume and individual point controls.
- Five-band Graph EQ, saturation and stereo shimmer. Original audio stays separate from these effects.
- Cross-tab Undo/Redo for project edits, an expanded graph view and inline explanations in the new Orbits and EQ panels.
- Optional Sound follows view maps stereo placement to manual camera yaw. Camera movement stays visual-only by default.
Choose 1.0 Classic on the beta download page. Extract all files before running Install-Wave-FX.cmd as administrator, with Ableton closed. The installer backs up a previous Wave FX installation. The package includes quick-start directions. Its separate illustrated PDF covers native 0.11.0.
Unsigned preview: automated audio, interface and licensing checks and plug-in validation passed. Real-host listening and clean-machine installation checks remain pending. Keep separate backups of important Sets. Orbit patterns are creative sound mappings, not physics simulations.
POCKET 0.11.0 / WAVE FX 0.10.0 / WEBSITEYour equation, explained.
A shared Peppers.Ghöst learning experience, with clearer number editing and a familiar Forest, Midnight, Ember and Paper identity.
- Pocket Studio and the playground: choose a number, read its role, update your draft, then apply. No accidental sound changes while learning.
- Explore without gestures: keyboard-friendly coordinates, frozen-time slices, raw and displayed heights, and a readable table of points.
- Optional short learning tones pause music and never resume it automatically. Higher height maps to a higher learning tone; this is separate from the recording effect.
- Native Wave FX: a pepper-pointing mascot, matching themes, and a Numbers workshop that compares actual native equation results at different coordinates.
- Existing app Undo/Redo, local Visions, background playback, independent volumes and audio exports remain available. Native licensing, host parameters and saved sessions remain unchanged.
Android remains an invited beta; Wave FX remains an unsigned Windows preview. Dedicated math-braille translation, Desmos and full app/VST Vision interchange are not included. The explorer is a creative learning tool, not medical training.
NATIVE SOFTWARE / 0.9.0 PREVIEWYour license. Your computers.
Activate Wave FX with your purchase email and personal library code. Use one license on two computers and manage their slots in Your library. Lifetime activation works offline. Monthly access verifies paid invoices, with up to seven days offline and a 72-hour grace period after the paid term.
- Background checks keep network work off the audio thread.
- Expired access fades to dry audio without deleting settings or Visions.
- Windows protects locally saved activation credentials.
- Retains the calmer 0.8 interface and Save Your Vision preset bank.
This is still an unsigned Windows preview. Earlier downloaded builds do not gain enforcement retroactively. An offline lifetime activation cannot be recalled instantly. Back up important sessions before updating.
NATIVE SOFTWARE / PREVIEWWave FX 0.7

- Independent appearance and sound-material painting with undo/redo.
- Two LFO modulation routes and six sound-character presets.

This is an early-access release. Back up important sessions and test it in your own host before depending on it in a performance or production project.
WEBSITE / FULL-SONG PLAYGROUNDFive songs. Your equation.
Explore five full-length original WAVs: psychedelic downtempo, IDM / glitch, liquid drum and bass, dubstep / trap, and melodic techno. Select a song, press Play, and use one equation to shape its brightness and stereo motion. Compare Original with Equation effect, seek, restart, loop, or switch to the built-in equation voice. Songs do not shift pitch in the browser demo.
Visitor uploads and processed-audio exports are not offered. Use the native Wave FX to process your own tracks in your DAW.
WEBSITE / CUSTOMER LIBRARYHear your equations
Edit a mathematical expression and hear the same surface you see. The browser playground now includes six presets, radians/degrees, a moving point readout, and pitch and brightness mapping for its built-in voice. Visitor audio uploads have been removed; processing your own instruments and recordings is part of the native plug-in workflow. The customer library, secure Stripe checkout, and protected downloads are now connected for the Wave FX launch offer.
